Glass Balcony System
The Premium Suspended Display System is designed for shopping malls, hotel lobby partitions, cafés, patisseries, stores and winter gardens. It moves in a suspended manner along an upper carrier construction and aluminum tracks.
When the glass panels are folded, there are no profiles, tracks or similar mechanisms on the floor, eliminating spatial restrictions, unwanted visual obstructions and loss of usable area, and offering spacious, modern environments. As a foldable system with sliding panels, it provides complete continuity between interior and exterior spaces; with 10 mm thick tempered glass it delivers full safety.
The Premium Suspended Display System was designed at WINPERAX R&D with customer satisfaction, quality and easy installation in mind. The profile design and registration is patented by the Turkish Patent Institute.
In the Premium Suspended Display System, since there is no aluminum track at the bottom, the load of the glass is transferred upward; the glass panels are drilled and supported with hard-plastic pins. Hard plastic pins are preferred because metal screws would carry a high risk of breaking the glass during folding.
When the glass panels are fully closed, since there is no track at the bottom, the floor-fixing mechanism is designed to be concealed for an aesthetic finish.
The bearings used in the Premium Suspended Display System are vertical bearings rather than horizontal ones, allowing them to carry the weight of the glass more easily.
Panel widths can be used in the 60–130 cm range, and height can go up to 400 cm. Each panel is supported by 8 bearings.
Aluminum wall thickness is 5.5 mm. The per-panel weight of the system is 40–70 kg.
Brush seals that press against the side frames are preferred in the system, providing insulation. During rotation, special fittings used on the upper track create a parking position that turns easily without requiring force. The same series can also be used in the butterfly system configuration.
In the butterfly system, since the support is central, no upper carrier steel construction or ceiling work is required.
